2. What the service does and who handles your booking
We provide a search and comparison service for UK rail journeys. We do not operate trains, sell tickets or take payment on ixigo.co.uk.
When you select a fare, we redirect you to ixigouk.wl.omio.com, a booking site operated by Omio Corp.
Omio provides the booking service and acts as an intermediary for the relevant train company. Omio's Terms of Use apply to the booking service. Your journey is provided by the relevant train company and is subject to its terms and the National Rail Conditions of Travel. ixigo is not a party to those arrangements.
Omio takes payment, issues booking confirmations and tickets, and handles booking support, changes, cancellations, refunds and compensation requests. The relevant train company operates the journey.
3. Fares, fees and availability
Fares, timetables and availability are supplied by Omio and the relevant train companies. They may change, and the booking and final price are confirmed on Omio's site before you pay.
The price shown on ixigo.co.uk includes all mandatory booking and service fees payable for the selected fare. Optional extras are added only if you choose them.
Ticket restrictions, refund and exchange conditions, and any applicable charges depend on the fare selected. Review them on Omio's site before payment.
4. Using the service
You may use the service for your personal travel or to make arrangements for another person where you are authorised to do so.
You must not use the service unlawfully or fraudulently, interfere with its security or operation, gain unauthorised access, or use robots, scrapers or other automated means to copy fare information or place an unreasonable load on our systems.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or where you materially breach these terms.
5. Availability and intellectual property
We do not promise that the service will always be available or uninterrupted. We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of it for maintenance, security or operational reasons. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice.
We own or are licensed to use the intellectual property in the service. You may use and download content only for personal, non-commercial purposes. Rail operator names, logos and marks belong to their respective owners.
6. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable when you used the service.
Except to the extent caused by our own breach or negligence, we are not responsible for Omio's booking service, a train company's transport service, or events outside our reasonable control.
The service is intended for personal use. If you use it for a commercial or business purpose, we are not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect legal, technical or service changes. The updated version applies from the date it is published and does not affect rights or liabilities that arose before that date.
If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
9. Complaints, governing law and courts
